There seems to be a common theme with my friends who are moms. Well if we really get into it, a number of common themes:
- Lack of sleep
- A less than clean house (depending on the day)
- Sick kids
- Sick spouse
- No time to be sick yourself
- A love for the fullness of life, and a desire to see others have it as well.
All of these points that I see you guys living out in your life’s inspire me, but especially the last one. It has been you all asking me, “what did you do this weekend?”, “please send me a picture of where you are at!”, and my personal favorite, “you are still alive?” that has allowed me to keep in perspective how blessed I am.
We gotta lay some ground rules first though:
- Don’t talk about fight club – yes, my mom is my friend. However, I am assuming these stories would talk a few years off of her life. So let’s keep this thing under wraps, kapish?
- I am an engineer not a writer. This blog serves a purpose, and it is not to exemplify my writing skills. Please, keep all grammatical commits to a minimum.
- Low expectations. I will try to keep this updated, but I am a free spirit.
Whoo! I know what you are thinking right now. “Megan, you don’t even like rules!” Confusing, I know. But there is only three.
Are you down? Cause I am down.
